Born in Annecy in 1971, he started his education at the age of ten. Since 1989 he attended the regional conservatory in Lyon.

In 1990 he won the first prize of the conservatory> andin the same year he was admitted to the National Conservatory in Paris.

Beside the first prize for chamber music he was, likethe other members of the quartet, awarded with the first prize of the conservatory for euphonium and tuba.

He also is a member of the Parisian Police- Orchestra. Together with Philippe Wendling and Patrick Couttet he is frequently employed at the National Opera of Paris and he regularly makes music with the Orchestre Colonne de Paris.

It' s usually only the depth of the orchestra pit, out of which the tone of the tuba with its mighty volume reaches the listeners.

But if you take a closer look at this instrument, you will find out that it possesses a strong ability to transmit emotions.

Every time again the Miraphone Tuba Quartett demonstrates that the spectrum of these emotions doesn' t only comprise classically, heavy frames of mind, but that brass music can be humorous, gentle and lively, and, nevertheless sophisticated.
