Miraphone Tuba Quartett
Born in Annecy in 1971, he started his education at the age of ten. Since 1989 he attended the regional conservatory in Lyon.
In 1990 he won the first prize of the conservatory and in the same year he was admitted to the National Conservatory in Paris.
Beside the first prize for chamber music he was awarded with the first prize of the conservatory for saxhorn-basse (french euphonium) and 3 years later, the first prize for tuba.
Philippe is a member of the Musique des Gardiens de la Paix de Paris (Paris Metropolitan Police Band) and besides he regularly plays together with some of the biggest orchestras in France.
He‘s graduate Professor of tuba and euphonium and he’s teaching at the conservatory of Aubervilliers and at the conservatory of Pantin.
