Philippe was born in Phalsbourg in 1972 and he already began to play the euphonium at the age of nine.
Until 1991 he attended the conservatory in Strasbourg where he, in conclusion, received the first prize of the conservatory, the honorary diploma, for his performance.
Afterwards he perfected his abilities until 1994 at the National Conservatory in Paris where he, among others, was awarded with the first prize for euphonium and for the subject chamber music.
Philippe Wendling is a member of the Musique des Gardiens de la Paix de Paris (Paris Metropolitan Police Band) and besides he regularly plays together with some of the biggest orchestras in France.
He’s teaching at the conservatory of Strasbourg and he’s the principal conductor from the wind band Pratteln (Swiss).
